BulSU Tankers brought home Golds from National SCUAA


     As BulSU Tankers triumphed over the State Colleges and Universities Athletics Association (SCUAA) Regional Competition last 2011, they once again bring home the glory this time, at the National SCUAA Olympics as representatives for Region III February 2012.

     Official Tallied results for the event’s competition was announced, leading BulSU Tankers—Michael Romiro Godoy, Roland Paolo Godoy Raygin Clavio and Kendren Romeo Reyes taking home the Gold Medals for the team’s men division as well as the Silver Medals.


      Two of the BulSU Tanker’s women’s team—Ma. Michelle Anne Godoy and Krystel Bernerdo also took home the Gold and Silver Medallist awards, following Zsarra Marie Alvarado, Stephanie Orcino and Mary Joy Caretero grabbing the Bronze Medallist title.

The championed Godoy brothers’ younger sister, Michelle Anne Godoy rejoiced at her 1st time winning Gold at her first participation in the national event.

      “Syempre, masaya ako.” Michelle Godoy, BSHRM1E, said.


     “Isang beses pa lang ako nakasali sa National SCUAA. Sa 1st event, sobrang kaba ako kasi malalakas ang mga kalaban  tapos 1st time ko pa lang makasali sa National SCUAA kasi bawal ang high-school ‘dun. ” she added.#Carla Michaela M. Hermoso

BulSU tankers, grabbed the Gold in SCUAA III



For over a decade BulSU Tankers championed in the SCUAA Regional and are still this year they kept 32 Golds, 12 Silvers and 5 Bronze medals for both Men and Women’s swimming team.

     They are at the top of their game with the Godoy brothers—Michael and Roland conquering 1st place on the 50m and 100m Butterfly and on the 50m, 100 and 200m Back strokes and the 50m and 100m Freestyles and the 50m, 100m and 200m Breast strokes. Kendren Romero on the other hand, grabbed the gold for 400m Freestyle.

       On BulSU’s women’s swimming team, Zsarra Marie Alvarado also grabbed the gold for the 50m Butterfly in BulSu women’s swimming team with 36.47 seconds while Michelle Godoy won the Gold for 400m Freestyle and Silver for the Individual Medley.
BulSu Tankers indeed trampled TSU and BPSU as they managed to steal both gold and silver medals on the Freestyle Relay and gold for the Medley Relay while, BPSU takes the silver medal.


       “Tuwang tuwang tuwang tuwa kami lahat. Lalo ako, nagpalit kasi ko ng stroke. dati back stokeer ako. i tried a new stroke. BulSU Spikers men, wagi sa Suc's III



Muling naghari ang Goldgear Volleyball men sa State Universities and Colleges III (SUC’s III) Olympics na ginanap sa Tarlac State University noong Disyembre 16- 21.

Nag-uwi ang naturanf kuponan ng anim na ginto, tulad ng kanilang ninanais, laban sa 13 na katunggaling kolehiyo sa buong rehiyon.
“Masaya kami, kasi nagbunga ‘yung pagihirap naming sa tuwing may training.” ani ni Emmanuel Reyes.
Ayon sa mga manlalaro, pinaghandaan talaga nila ang naturang kompetisyon, lalo pa’t sa alam nila na  malakas ang TSU na nakalaban nila noong nakaraang taong SUC’s Olympics.
“Masaya kami kasi yung pinagpaguran ng mga bata nagbunga ng maganda at mas lalo pa namin pagbubutihin na maging maayos yung training nila sana gawin nila yung best nila pag nilaban na sila sa national,” ani ni Jocelyn Bartolome, ang coach ng Goldgears Volleyball men.
Samantala, patuloy ang paghahanda ng koponan sa kompetisyon sa national SCUAA na gaganapin sa Western Visayas State University, Iloilo City.#Jovelyn Bautista

Bulsu Chess Team apat na taon nang wagi

Wala pa ring kupas ang galing ng BulSU Chess Team matapos madepensahan ang kampeonato sa Chess sa Ikaapat na pagkakataon sa ginanap na SUC Olympics sa TSU (Tarlac State University), Disyembre 2011.
Nakuha ng BulSU Chess Men ang gintong medalya matapos matehin ang TSU na nagkamit naman ng pilak na medalya.
Hindi naman nagpatalo ang Bataan(BPSU) dahilan upang maiuwi nila ang tanso.
Pinatunayan rin ng BulSU women’s division ang kanilang husay nang madepensahan nilang muli ang kampeonato.
Masayang umuwi ang mga manlalaro ng BulSU nang tanghaling over-all champions ang mga ito para sa Men and Women’s Division sa larangan ng Chess.
“Masaya dahil mas mahirap yung game namin ngayon compared to last year, pero panalo pa rin,” ani Jhonatan Quintero ng BSEE 5B.
Dagdag pa niya, paghuhusayan pa daw nila ang training at paghahandaang mabuti ang nalalapit na laban nila para sa Nationals.# Florence Ambrocio
